- Installation Guide Eco-GFX (Rev. 00) (0.2 MB)
- The installation of the ECO-GFX must be completed by a qualified plumber who has specific knowledge in construction and plumbing and of applicable plumbing codes.
- The adaptors necessary for the installation of the ECO-GFX are available as an option. The installer must choose the appropriate adaptors for the specific installation conditions and plumbing codes.
- Ensure that all water supply lines are shut off before and during the installation of the ECO-GFX until the installation is complete.
- The installation of valves, access traps or other items are not required for the operation of the ECO-GFX unless these items be required within applicable plumbing codes.
Installation Considerations:
- The ECO-GFX must be installed in a VERTICAL position. All other positions will greatly reduce the efficiency of the unit. A maximum deviation from vertical of 1/8” per linear feet is permitted to ensure unit efficiency.
- The cold potable water connection is to be made at the lowest connection point on the ECO-GFX outer coil. The preheated potable water connection is at the top of the coil.
- The installation of the ECO-GFX onto the drain stack can be done with flexible drain connectors. Proper support of the ECO-GFX unit and the drain stack along with electrical grounding requirements should be considered at installation.
