The ECO-GFX is designed to recover this wasted energy and transfer it directly back into your water heating system thereby significantly reducing the costs associated with hot water heating.

The installation of an ECO-GFX is a simple, proven and efficient measure that will contribute in obtaining credits associated with energy efficient LEED projects. Several LEED projects are presently using ECO-GFX technology to reduce the energy required to heat water.
Increasing system capacity
The recovery of energy from drain water has obvious economical and environmental benefits but other advantages beyond these considerations exist. A building that incorporates ECO-GFX units as part of its hot water heating system will see a decrease in heating power requirements or in the size of the heating apparatus by recovering the energy that would have otherwise been sent down the drain. This is even more advantageous when less efficient hot water heating equipment is in use.

Many independent organizations have tested and recognized the efficiency of the ECO-GFX technology including National Resources Canada, the Canadian National Research Center, the Canadian Housing and Mortgage Corporation, Saskatchewan Research Council, Hydro Quebec and the US Department of Energy.

In order to comply with most plumbing codes in the US and Canada, we build our products with certified components. The components used in building the ECO-GFX have the following certifications

A complete line of products
A complete line of ECO-GFX products are available to satisfy every type of application. Our technology can adapt to all ranges of flow rates and building space restrictions. Single unit, multiple or grouped configurations allow flexibility in heat recovery project design.
Self cleaning and maintenance free
The ECO-GFX is made up of certified copper drain tubing and is considered maintenance free thus retaining its efficiency over time. The ECO-GFX drain tube is the same diameter as the standard copper drain tube and will drain in the same manner with no restriction in the drain flow.
